Just so you don't think I've been driving weeks with a coolant light on! Any ideas would be great at this point! So it hasn't been driven but 50 miles tops under these conditions. It sat all day today, then I drove it back to my house. Might that cause the above problem? The coolant was flushed yesterday afternoon, then drove it to a nearby friends house and left it. I also noticed the larger hose (going to radiator) from the coolant filler neck (AST eliminated) may have been kinked between the huge coolant hose on the bottom and the M2 IC. My question(s) is a) any ideas as to what's smoking? b) possible long term damage? c) drive back to shop as it is, so they see what they've done - or add coolant and drive back? I know at this point you say, ADD COOLANT IDIOT!! Of coarse that's what I'm going to do. As soon as I shut off the car I get white smoke coming from around the Ypipe (on the intake manafold side), then a few minutes later another plume of smoke will roll out. Power FC reads water temps between 113c (driving) and 123c (engine shut off). I see the temp needle bounce between normal (middle) and high(noooooo!). I tried to drive it as little as possible, then found the coolant light would come on while driving (instead of the first 5 minutes after turning car on) go away, then come back. Figure there was a air bubble or two when they filled it up, so it just needs a bit more. After taking the car home I found the Add Coolant light came on for a few minutes, then shut off. If you have any additional questions, always feel free to contact our PEAK technical support team at 1-80.I took the FD to a local rotary shop to have the oil changed and coolant flushed. If you would like to look at our concentrate formula, you can search Amazon Part number B08PC7XZKY in the search bar. MS-12106 and MS-90032 are interchangeable with no problem, but our 50/50 formula is already prediluted for your convenience. The FCA/Chrysler MS-90032 specifies a concentrated antifreeze + coolant. This product is compatible with FCA/Chrysler MS-12106 which is the 50/50 pre-diluted version. I got the same answer from PEAK directly through a question asked on Amazon as well "Thank you for your interest in PEAK OET Extended Life Orange 50/50 prediluted Antifreeze + Coolant for North American vehicles. They stated don't worry about the color as much as if it's MS12016 compatible which this is. I've been using what the dealer recommended off the shelf of Autozone right now. It's being all flushed and refilled when they do the repair. Every time I look at it depending on the light it's a different color. The color is an orangish pink in the reservoir right now with quite a bit of debris honestly. I shouldn't be losing that much coolant in 10 days and I'm using coolant that's approved for use in this vehicle as well. It's scheduled for an appointment the 16th with a level 3 tech, which if they are worth anything will immediately know something is off. I'm not doing any further diagnostics on it. I guess my question is, is there someone here who could tell me exactly where this coolant may be going? I'm usually pretty good at sniffing issues out, but this one has me stumped. There's no white sludge under the oil cap, and it doesn't seem like I'm gaining any coolant within the oil. I also sniffed the tailpipe and couldn't detect any hint of coolant, although today being cooler (high 50s, lower 60s) there was a slight wisp of white smoke. No spots in the driveway, no wet areas in the engine compartment. This time putting a marker line where the level was at. I let it rest until it was cooled to ambient temp and topped it off once again. I revved the engine a few times and it circulated the new coolant, of course dropping the level in the tank a little while doing it. I drove it around and actually could hear the heater core swishing as air was being dragged through it (I know from prior experience this is normal with low coolant levels). I topped it off to between the min and max level. Today I checked the coolant level in the morning again and there was nothing in the reservoir once more. I topped it off with compatible MS-12106 coolant. So I noticed when I first purchased the van that the coolant level in the reservoir was non-existent.
